ABOUT CANNINGS OUTDOOR
POWER EQUIPMENT
For over 45 years, Cannings has been synonymous
with outdoor power equipment in Melbourne. Established in
1960, Cannings was originally a pioneering importer and distributor of chainsaws. Based in Hawthorn for the majority of the last 40 years, Cannings relocated to Mt Waverley in 2003. Over these last 4 decades Cannings has evolved into a specialist outdoor
power equipment manufacturer, retailer and importer, distributor
and supplier to the arborist and industrial access markets.
Now a third generation business, Cannings is led by brothers John
and Stuart Canning, employing a team of 10. Enjoying the status
of Victoria’s No 1 STIHL dealer for
the majority of the last 20 years and Australia's No 1 STIHL dealer in 2005, Cannings has a progressive,
high-profile dealership in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs. Located
in Melbourne’s fastest-growing corridor it is well-positioned
to service both residential and professional clients.
In addition to its extensive retail and servicing activities,
Cannings is active in the manufacture, assembly and distribution
of Granberg products, a renowned and high-quality
range of chainsaw essentials and accessories. Made famous
by the Alaskan Lumber Mill and Grind-N-Joint 12v chainsaw sharpener, Granberg products
have been part of the Cannings range for well over 35 years.
Having in 1998 become a specialist supplier to the arborist
and industrial access markets, Cannings is Australian agent for Yale ropes, Buckingham climbing
equipment, Cobra tree bracing systems, Haix safety
work boots, ISC pulleys and karabiners, Distel Climbing Spurs and ART work
positioners.
Cannings is now recognised as the pre-eminent supplier of arborist
products in Victoria and is a proud member of the ATRAES group
of specialist dealers. |
